N o office, no employee and even no money, the venture was started from scratch. Marc Vollenweider, President & CEO and Dr. Alok Agrawal, Chairman, two partners of the company, invested half million dollar each, it was their own money. The result – evalueserve (EVS) was born, a global knowledge outsourcing service. Nobody, except the two, had faith in the new venture, when they started their operations in India in 2001. EVS was founded by IBM and McKinsey alumni, and has completed over 12,000 client engagements on behalf of global clients. Before setting up the new venture Marc was partner of McKinsey’s India operations, he stayed in India for almost a year. Recalls Marc, “I think, setting up a company in India, without having lived in India before, is almost impossible. I was with McKinsey for overall of ten years, I was partner in Switzerland and then I came here as partner and I spent a year here in India. Actually destiny brought us (I and Alok) together. Alok and I got to know each other in June 2000 through our wives.” more....

The 34-year old Fashion Designer from New York, Ajay Srivastava says in a very polite voice, “Hand stitching clothes for my sisters, their dolls, giving them tips on what to wear, these were my first leanings towards designing." I called him up with a vague idea of his professional scene there. And, gradually, when he came out of his reserved shell, the words started revealing his superb achievements. This young creative brain stands among those few who have been successfully able to make their place in the most cut throat continent. The dynamics of flirtation operate at two levels. First level, talks about existence of flirtation amongst colleagues, bosses, peers and subordinates at the office. Well, this kind of flirtation is everyone aware of. How this is flourishing to the extent that people both he/she are on the look out for an office spouse for themselves. It has lot to do with how we approach professional goals. One needs to keep a proper balance. Office spouse works as a stress buster; it can be a male-male, female-female or male-female.
